Happy New Year Everyone!

Time to catch up!

I've been using Myspace for my blogging....because I forgot how to log into my acct here!...I finally jumped through all of the right hoops to get this one set up again!  So if you feel like catching up with my last year of blogging it's : myspace.com/lovely_shop_girl....I'm not sure how you get to my blog without being one of my friends, but....lol....I know it's possible since many people read it that aren't my contacts.

It's been quite awhile since I have posted on this site...L I F E...got in the way. I have found another place to blog too. So I guess this will soon turn into my shop blog, and I will just bore all of you out there with the every day happenings in the store.

We just had another Girls Night out on the square, it was good for business as usual. It's been written about in the local papers and one magazine...and that is just the beginning. I went by the hospital yesterday morning for my free flu shot, and it didn't hurt a bit. But as the day went on my arm started getting really sore, and now I have a big knot in my arm...ouch! Every year i say that I'm not going to get it again, because I always end up sick right after it. So far this year is no different, I am sure that the 13 hour work day yesterday didn't help matters any. My feet are still tired from standing on concrete floors in heels all day and night. Sales are starting to look up, and Christmas is on it's way yeah!!!

Yesterday I went by the Police station to check on the status of my case. They think that they caught the jerk that tried to break in. So that makes me feel a lot better! I won't be letting my guard down anytime soon though. Another slow week at the shop....were are the people spending their money? Some of my best costumers have been in lately, and they have been spending about half as much as usual???? I can't wait until people start Christmas shopping.

Still can't sleep.

I am shaking from the inside out... I don't want to try to go to sleep. What if that bad person comes back? I had just started feeling more at ease since the guys tried to break in upstairs a couple of years ago. Now I will be sleeping cuddled up with my shotgun and pistol again. The police keep coming by with search lights, the light crawls from one side of the room to the other, and then disappears. I don't feel safe. My insides are quivering like jello.

Holy Mackerel!!!!

Well, the art festival was going to be what I blogged on next, but instead... someone just tried to break in. The Police have come and gone and I am shaking. I was sleeping upstairs and heard bells and a thump...I assumed it was Rico my shop cat, and tried to fall back to sleep, then I heard it again, and again... Twiggy started barking her head off so I figured I had better check on things. I was half way down the stairs when I realized it was the back door,and not the front. As I opened the stairway door I saw the back doors moving, someone was on the other side trying to bust the door in. I grabbed my pistol that I had left by the stairs from walking Twiggy, and looked out the side window. Meanwhile, Twiggy was trying to get to the guy on the other side of the door. I saw him turn and walk away he was wearing a Navy Blue Hoodie, white gloves, and jeans. I ran to call the police I was shaking so bad, I could feel every beat of my heart. It took so long for them to get there, but even if it had only been 5 minutes I think it would have seemed like an hour.
I am so creeped out.

Busy little bees...

You can almost hear the hum of busy little artists around town. I can feel the energy building as the art festival gets closer! I walked off the spaces for the booths today, and found that the map I was given is incorrect. So I have more spaces to rent, which is good and bad. I don't want any empty spaces, I want the square packed- so more work to fill it up...ughh.
